1. What are bio-thermal inserts?

The bio-thermal inserts are a medical product.

On 6 June 2008 they have been entered into the Register of Medical Products (with the number PL/DR 016012) following the decision of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocides with the seat in Warsaw at ul. Ząbkowska 41.

2. What are they for?

The bio-thermal inserts are a support and preventive therapeutic agent for people with thermoregulation disorders.

3. How do they influence the organism?

The purpose of the inserts is to elevate body temperature and improve blood circulation. With an everyday thermal correction achieved using a method of screening your own energy, hands and feet become warm. The inserts give an effect of warm feet to people with micro-circulatory disorders in the course of diabetes and peripheral atheromatosis. They are a natural agent supporting medical treatment for people of all ages.

4. Where should they be worn?

The inserts are to be used in closed footwear, with a covered heel. They may be used throughout the whole season in e.g. low shoes, sandals, closed-heel pumps, boots or sports footwear. Your shoes should be loose fitting. The inserts should not be used in tight footwear so that the blood circulation is not blocked.

5. How do they work?

The bio-thermal inserts used as insoles act as a screen for thermal energy of feet. Reflecting warmth instead of diffusing it, they influence the organism's thermo-regulation processes and micro-circulation.

The inserts are a thermal stimulus of low intensity and long-term effect. Thermal stimulus causes dilation of blood vessels. Those changes lead to significant improvement in skin blood supply, influencing also the functioning of internal organs, respiratory and vascular systems and stimulating immunological reactions.

The use of bio-thermal inserts causes skin temperature to increase in your feet, lower legs and thighs.

6. Are the qualities of the bio-thermal inserts confirmed by scientific research?

Yes, the positive effect of bio-thermal inserts was confirmed by scientific research conducted in Ludwik Rydygier Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz and in the Laboratory of Biotronics and Electrophotography in Kielce.

These effects are also confirmed by opinions of physicians and people using the inserts (opinions available in our offices).

7. What are the inserts made of?

The material of which the bio-thermal inserts are made is based on polythene and the composition of the material is protected by patent law.

8. The inserts are wide: how should they be inserted? Will they fit my shoes?

You should roll up the insert and push it as far as possible into the tip of your shoe and then spread it and smooth it out with your hand so that no folds remain. If the insert is too long, you can adjust it to the length of your shoe by trimming off only the heel part. The width should remain unchanged, the insert should nestle your foot. You should not cut off the sides of you insert because then the insert would not fulfil its task. Should it be cut exactly to fit the shape of your foot it would become a regular "padding" for your shoe.

9. Will the inserts slide or move around in the shoe while walking?

Should the inserts slide out from your shoes please use double sided adhesive tape in three points. It is not recommended to use the inserts in shoes other than the ones they were initially placed in.

10. Should the shoes in which the inserts are to be used be much larger?

No, it's enough that your shoes are comfortable and loose fitting. The inserts are flexible and they adjust to the shape of your feet and shoes perfectly.

11. How thick are the inserts?

The inserts are approximately 4 mm thick.

12. How should the inserts be placed in the shoe?

The printed side up towards the foot, the smooth side down towards the shoe.

13. Should the feet directly touch the inserts? Should I wear socks?

The inserts should not be worn touching a bare foot directly. Please wear socks with terrycloth soles while wearing the inserts. Do not wear elastic or nylon socks as these fabrics do not absorb sweat.

14. Can I give my inserts to another person?

No, you should not give your own used inserts to another person nor use somebody else's inserts for hygienic reasons.

15. Can I use one pair of inserts for two different pairs of shoes?

It is not recommended to use the inserts in shoes other than the ones they were initially placed in. Every shoe has a different shape, whereas the inserts adjust to the shape of your foot and shoe. You should make sure especially during autumn and winter seasons not to put on cold outdoor shoes without inserts onto "warm and relaxed" feet which were taken out from house shoes because it is very easy to catch a cold.

16. How to clean the inserts?

Once a week, wash your inserts with a brush and a mild detergent, e.g. soap and then rinse and dry them.

17. How long can I use the bio-thermal inserts?

The inserts may be used a few hours a day depending on how you feel. People with blood circulation disorders should use the inserts for slightly longer periods.

However, in case of arterial stenosis, cerebral aneurysm, confirmed atheromatous plaques as well as high blood pressure and high sugar level, it is recommended to start using the inserts for 15 minutes every several hours, and gradually reduce the intermission periods.

18. Are there any contraindications for using the inserts?

Yes, the inserts cannot be used during immunosuppressive therapy, radiotherapy for cancer, before surgical interventions, when suffering from nephrolithiasis and cholelithiasis (conditions in which micro-circulation improvement is not recommended).

19. How long do the inserts work? How often should they be replaced?

The inserts wear out only due to walking, especially in places of the most pressure, which is under your heel and toes. The inserts lose their resilience and flexibility, they become thinner, "beaten" and stop working. They should then be replaced with new ones. This depends on the weight of the users and the time of their application.

20. How long can they be stored? Do they lose their qualities when not used?

The inserts that are not used may be stored even a few years. They do not lose their properties. They wear out only during walking.

21. When buying the inserts, should I provide my shoe size or the length of my feet? Or maybe the number of an insert?

When ordering inserts please provide the size of the shoes you wear according to the table below:

Europ. 24 - 27 28 - 30 32 - 34 36 - 37 1/2 38 - 40 40 1/2 - 43 44 - 46

22. What is the prerequisite for achieving effects when using the inserts?

Washing your feet and changing your socks often is an inseparable element and a prerequisite for achieving positive effects in using the inserts. These two conditions improve the removal of excretion products from the body.

23. How often should I change my socks?

During the first month of using the inserts, you should change your socks and rinse your feet a few times a day to facilitate and improve the removal of excretion products from you body. After that period, you should change your socks at least three times a day.

24. What should I do if I am at work and cannot wash my feet or change socks often?

You can then use felt inserts (on top of bio-thermal inserts). Additional application of felt inserts positively influences increased body purification, especially when you do not have the possibility to change your socks often e.g. at work. The felt inserts should be placed on bio-thermal inserts.

25. Should I wash my socks and felt inserts?

Yes, you should wash your socks as well as the felt inserts.

26. Where should I ask for the bio-thermal inserts?

In pharmacies (chemist's), medical shops, herbal shops and at the manufacturer's.

27. Is there any information attached to the product on how to use the inserts?

Yes, every pair of inserts comes with a detailed information leaflet which you should study before wearing the inserts.

28. Does the manufacturer accept mail orders for the bio-thermal inserts?

Yes, you can order the inserts via our internet shop, by telephone or mail.

29. What personal information should I provide when ordering the inserts?

Please provide your name and surname, your address with postal (zip) code, your shoe size and the quantity of inserts that you order.

30. How long does it take for the order to be delivered?

The order is delivered within 1 to 2 weeks.
